Four provisions of Arizona’s S.B. 1070 went before the Supreme Court in Arizona v. United States, nearly two years after the Obama administration filed a lawsuit to stop the law from being enforced. While it is difficult to predict how the Supreme Court will decide the case, the proceedings suggest that the Court will uphold at least some of the contested provisions.
